She’s now in her third trimester and will be due in June! Can’t wait for the new addition! In the meantime…

Lippy finished his last paper yesterday and went off on a well-deserved holiday to Shanghai with his cousins and youngest sis this afternoon.
He says he’s making this trip because he misses the weather and food but we all know he is really there to visit his rosy-cheeked Shanghainese son (inside joke) :P
While we’re on the topic, here’s one of my favourite picture of us in Shanghai, taken during winter after a hearty dinner at Fu 1039.
Ah, nuts. I miss Shanghai. And I miss my boyfriend already.
The team had the best opportunity to bond when we were all invited by the Sales head for a “conference” (in quotes because apart from a three-hour meeting on our second day, the rest of the trip was shopping, eating, partying) in Taipei.
We were also invited on the Hong Kong extension so we had an additional two days of non-stop shopping and eating.
It was really fun but also extremely tiring. I’ve never been this knackered out on a trip. At the end of it, I felt like I needed another holiday to recover from this holiday.
For this travelogue, rather than bore you with the details, I have decided to just post photos with short captions for the most part. That’s also because we took a gazillion pictures (which is what happens when you send a bunch of girls on a holiday). Lots of self-shots, pictures of our shopping haul, pictures of us shopping, every cute car, every dish in a restaurant, every cute statue, every street sign, every passing local… our boss thinks he needs to take us out more. Haha.

It was one of those events where you need not worry about overdressing. In fact, the more dressed up you are, the more at home you’d feel.
Finally got to put on the electric-blue bubble dress (tailored in Shanghai) and spent a good twenty minutes fixing on falsies (yep, I suck at it).
No pictures with the celebrities because we were too tired to attend the post-awards ceremony party where we would otherwise have gotten to mingle with them. But being seated just seven rows away from the stage in the center block, I got pretty good glimpses of most of them during the advertisement breaks.
It ain’t Hollywood but the night was quite an experience nonetheless. Glad to have been a part of it :)

Out of the seven days of the Restaurant Week this year, we managed to eat out on four. That’s quite an achievement considering we made our bookings late. AMEX card holders had pre-booking privileges but Lips was too busy with school and missed it. By the time he logged on, the big names like Forlino, Garibaldi, Iggy’s, etc. were fully reserved.
Still, not complaining (especially since he made the bookings while I was in Taipei with the colleagues and I was so happy so see the confirmation e-mails coming in, never mind which restaurants) – it was a great week of stuffing! Every place we went to had impeccable service and yummy food :)
The 3rd edition of the Singapore Restaurant Week will be held from 17 to 23 October 2011. Be sure to make your bookings early! :)
Life is still insanely hectic. Wish I could update more often cos I really miss writing in here but there’s no time to stop and smell the roses. It’s just ticking of item after item on my to-do list.

I have to put it on record that even though it’s been crazy packed schedules everyday, I’ve been very happy and fulfilled. It’s great doing the things you love :)
