L and I caught Annie the Musical at the Marina Bay Sands Theatre earlier this month.
It was a wonderful new production based on the comic strip Little Orphan Annie. As usual, there was a lot of talent in one place. The brilliant props and costumes as well as the impressive set entertained us tremendously. I loved how cute and bubbly the girls were, especially six-year-old Singaporean, Chloe Choo, who plays Molly (the youngest in the orphanage). A show stealer, this one.
Annie was such a feel-good musical, I daresay the whole theatre left that night without a trace of negativity. It left me humming and singing Tomorrow for the next few days, even now as I’m typing this :)
